Meet Carolina

Before she was a therapist, Carolina was an anthropologist. Her research took her to indigenous communities in Brazil, where she saw how healing could be held by ceremony, community, and deep respect for the medicine. That experience shaped everything she has built since; she came to believe that science and traditional knowledge belong together, and that we can appreciate that knowledge with honor rather than appropriate it.

Over her years of practice as a psychotherapist, Carolina came to deeply respect traditional therapy. It is powerful, meaningful, and has helped so many people. At the same time, she noticed that for some clients, talking alone did not always reach the deeper layers of their emotional world. Psilocybin, offered legally and held within a careful therapeutic frame, became a way to gently invite people into parts of themselves that are hard to access with words alone.

That vision became Numia. Carolina designed the center to feel like a calm, beautiful home, so that from the moment someone walks through the door they feel wrapped in warmth. As Clinical Director she leads Numia’s facilitator team, holds space for clients from preparation through integration, and shapes the clinical protocol behind the more than 300 journeys guided at the center.
